Candice VS Kree

Last night was the top two performances and some people might have said it was boring but i think i was actually a pretty good night of fantastic singing from these two females. Coming into the night we all knew that Candice was the frontrunner and Kree was the underdog but honestly i think their body of work from the season is equal, in their own ways. Candice is a freak of nature with amazing vocals and kree has this smooth tone that can melt your heart. So lets see how each girl did last night

Simon Fullers Choice

Kree Harrison

On paper this song just seems so overdone and it actually is but it fit kree perfectly. She sang the song with very light and tender vocals. I actually really enjoyed the performance simply because i love Krees voice. could they had picked a better song for her? well yes because while it was a gorgeous vocal, it was also a bit sleepy and that's something kree had been suffering with all season.

Chasing Pavements
Another Adele song? i honestly thought at first that this was a bad song choice because there really isn't much you can do to this song. but Candice changed up the tempo and took some liberties with her vocals so it actually turned out to be a pretty good performance, not her best but it was good.

For this round id say it was a tie but i will give Candice a slight edge just for changing up her song choice

This was no "Home" But i think kree had the advantage on this round because she has experience in writing songs and what not. I actually really liked her song, it wasn't the greatest coronation song ever but i think its radio ready and i think she really gave it her all on this performance

To Be honest Candice sounded great and the song it very "2013" but i didn't like the lyrics of the song. It just sounded like an updated version of Jessica Sanchez song from last season. Not something that id really give a second listen to.

I'm so glad that she picked this song, this was really the only song she could have picked to really have a "moment", she sang it so well and with the choir in the back it was the only time i had goosebumps throughout the whole night. The only problem is that kree decided to go first instead of last which was a bad idea

I Who Have Nothing
It was a bad idea because Candice came out last and completely stole the night with this performance. The way she started off accapella was really nice and then by the end she just sang the heck out if it. This one performance might have won Candice the night.

This round, technically Candice won this round but i preferred Krees up to the mountain, maybe I'm biased but i just really loved it.

Prediction

My prediction is that Candice Glover will be crowned tonight, first she closed the show with one heck of a performance and second DialIdol says she will win and dialidol has never been wrong for a finale. SO yea i still want Kree to win because shes my favorite but she probably wont and I'm not mad at all i think both these ladies are great singers with big futures.

American Idol 12: Top 3 results

Since the elimination of Haley Reinhart, Ive never been so sad to see someone from this show get eliminated, but as Angie tried to sing her final song, fighting tears, i just couldn't believe it. I predicted Angie to win the whole thing and I'm sure alot of people did too. No doubt this girl will be the first to get signed and have a big career

On the bright side we Have a Candice Glover vs Kree Harrison finale which is amazing. Team Kree!

Kree is the underdog but has all of the country fans voting and Candice has got the power to deliver amazing performance. this should be good, even though i wish Angie was in the finale :(

American Idol 12: Top 3

This is the absolute best top 3 this season could have produced, i think the right three girls have made it and I'm really excited about it. You have Candice, the powerhouse singer who after trying out 3 times finally is making her impact. then you have Kree the sweet girl from Texas with a heartbreaking backstory, her tone is as beautiful as anything Ive ever heard. And finally theres Angie, this girl who has fire in her eyes and the girl who i believe is destined to win this season. Ultimately i wont be surprised to see any of these ladies take the crown.


ROUND 1: JIMMY'S CHOICE

Perfect
Jimmy probably chose this song because all season long kree has been picking pretty easy safe songs, but this was just not a good choice at all. Its a great song but it just didn't fit krees style, it looked like she tried to force the excitement.

To be completely honest, i don't even like this song but since Mary j blidge sang this i can see why jimmy chose it. She sounded great and it wasn't a bad performance, but it was forgettable.

Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word
Yes i think this performance was meant to be played on the piano but honestly i don't think Angie feels comfortable playing a song she is just learning. But i still think she sounded lovely standing up even though i think she should have held back a little more.

Who the hell is Emile Sande? I don't know but i think this was bad song choice for Candice. She sounded great like always but again i think it was very forgettable, better than her first performance though. I just hate performances from artists that Ive never even heard about.

This, to me was my favorite Angie performance of the night, yes she sounded out of breathe but she performed with energy that she has never brought while giving a performance away from the piano. I can totally see her recording music like this, even though she probably wont haha.

Wow after watching that sad home visit, kree broke my heart with this performance, it was filled with emotion and she sand it so beautifully. I loved it i think it was one of her best moments on the show. and her best of the night

Emile Sande again!? i can honestly say i hated this song, even though Angie was at the piano she didn't look comfortable and the melody didn't give her any chance for big moments. this was her worst of the night and not a good note to end the night on.

I think the judges were watching a different performance because i loved this performance. The say kree shouldn't sing this foot stomping country songs but i think she gave the right amount of energy and she sounded great and aggressive.

This song reminds me of "somewhere over the rainbow" i don't know lol but Candice sang the crap out of this song. After giving two forgettable performances i think she pretty much won the night with this one.

I think all three ladies gave it their best tonight. Candice killing it with her last song, Angie brought it tonight like she does every week, and kree to my surprise fought really hard despite some iffy song choices. kree is the underdog for sure so we might end up having a Angie/Candice Finale but who knows Kree has alot of fans.

American Idol 12: Top 4

Okay Okay Okay, yes i know i haven't been around to give my feed back on American idol for a while. but honestly its kinda hard when you got school, work, and yes when this season was starting to bore me a little. Do not fear though because I'm back!

this year it was so clear that they wanted a girl to win so badly that they casted the most fodder group of guys ever to be on this show. However that doesn't mean that these females aren't any good, because they are fantastic. I just have to say this week was a letdown i mean the two top dogs Candice and Kree had their worst nights and got threw under the us by the judges. Angie is taking advantage of that and Amber, well amber is overrated if you ask me.

How can these judges sit there and call Amber's performance "2013" how did this have "flavor" to me it was as old fashioned as it always will be.I must say though that the way she started the Song off was clever on her behalf and it sounded lovely. But when she got to the bigger notes her voice kinda strains because Amber's voice honestly isn't that big.

Poor Kree, she seems defeated and she s probably like, what the hell do these judges want from me. but her problem is that she isn't connecting to her performances and she isn't giving us any "moments" sorry for sounding like Randy Jackson, but its true. I think she did good on the song her voice sounded gritty, but at this point in the competition she needs better songs.

A drake song? well that was the most interesting song choice all night so ill give her props. She sounded lovely as always but i hated the way she completely took the melody out. and to be honest she over sang it. Compared to her other performances, this one wasn't that great.

Finally, i knew Angie would become the front runner again i just didn't know when it would happen. Angie has been a mid pack contestant for weeks now but this performance was the best she had given all season long, the emotion and connection she sang with was impeccable. yeah her vocals weren't perfect but it didn't even matter. My prediction, Angie will win this season.

First let me say this theme was a horrible theme, and these contestants had no creativity what so ever. Starting with amber, i agree with jimmy this song was corny and just not right for a top 4 performance. Oh but the judges loved it, she even got a standing o from them, what the hell? i lover her voice but i seriously hope all this praise will get her eliminated.

This was a one hit wonder? ha! she completely cheated the theme, and with a super boring song. She sang it good like always but this was nothing special and so underwhelming coming from Candice who in the past weeks has given us "love song", and "straight up".

Yes this performance was a snooze, but she sang it so well. The thing about Kree is that she can pick these boring songs but still melt our hearts with her voice. i don't know, if shes around next week i pray  i hope that she wakes up and starts killing it. matter of fact Kree, BRING OUT THAT GUITAR!!

with the rest of the girls giving underwhelming performances, Angie pretty much won the night with her first song and this one was just the nail on the coffin. She sounded better than she ever has and she looked great too. I think it was a little pageantry as are most of her performances haha i don't know i think its her facial expressions.

Candice has been giving amazing performances every week. For her to get eliminated she will either need to give a very bad performance or a shock elimination, which is very possible for Candice. But until then she stand at the top of the list.

Angie is still riding on her Hollywood/Vegas frontrunner status. She is obviously the female that the judges and the producers want to see int he finally so i doubt she will go anywhere anytime soon. She does have a beautiful voice and i lover what she brings to the stage, but I'm waiting fr her breakout performance.

Kree is this close from taking second or first on the rankings, her performances are always stellar and she is by far one of the best contestants. The only problem is that's she has yet to have a big moment. Also she is in competition with Janelle for the country spot, and in competition with Angie and Candice for that number one spot. She has alot of work cut out for her.

Burnell is going to be the last guy standing but as of now, he has no chance of winning. The girls are just to overwhelming this season. Burnell hasn't done anything special to make him a frontrunner, but he does give stellar vocals every week and that's why he is ranked # 4

Janelle Arthur

Janelle was a frontrunner, then she fell big time, now we are starting to see her rise again. Which can mean that she is the underdog now. plus she is a country girl from the south. to me Janelle can win this whole thing if she gets better every week because America will just fall in love with this country girl.




Amber Holcomb
Rank: 6
Amber has an amazing voice, her runs are phenomenal, but when we talk about the girls this season her name is never in the race for the number one spot. She is a true darkhorse and she can be a real contender if she gives us great performances, but if she is bad one week, shes gone.




Devin Velez

Devin has such a nice voice but he has been picking very bad songs that end up in boring forgettable performances. At this point i don't know how he can turn things around, but he should just do what he can while he is still here because i don't think hell crack top 5 at this rate.

Lazaro Arbos

No surprise here, Lazaro is a sweet kid with a decent voice but he just isn't ready for the show. i haven't seen a contestant sing so bad and go on week after week since sanjaya in season 6. Lazaro isn't going to win so please America, vote him out!

Going home is Paul Jolley, no surprise since he just wasn't that exciting or popular. I actually would have rather had Lazaro go home but, you know how things go in American idol

Shake my head, America why are you keeping this kid around? I understand that you feel bad for him but this performance was not only the worst of the night, one of the worst all season. Nothing about this performance was good, the vocal, the phrasing, the pitch, it was all bad. And he cried afterwards....hell be safe.

Oh man what a long and winding performance! what was he thinking when he picked this song, this song should never be sung on idol its so damn boring. To be nice, yes he sounded great as always, but Devin needs a moment or he is history.

The judges didn't like it,i loved it. This wasn't her best but i loved the way she sang and the choices she made. She didn't go crazy with the runs as she usually does and it was nice to hear her actually hold a note. What Nicki said about her not wanting to sing this song was just dumb, she picked the song so obviously she wanted to sing it.

I agree that Angie completely did the opposite of what she was supposed to do, this song is meant to be sung soft and to have a subtle connection to it. Angie sounded great but she over sang the song a little bit. Shes my favorite contestant so i personally thought she did a good job and she did, but it would have been better without the dramatics.

Burnell really should expand his knowledge on music because who doesn't know this song, seriously. But still he sang it beautifully, he does things to the melody that only he can do, it sets him apart. i still think he is the est of the guys but he is in need of a moment, something to make it a real contender against the girls.

Finally Janelle is starting to show some sign of live. This was the first time that i saw glimpse of the old Janelle from Hollywood week. She gave a very nice performance with a very delicate vocal. it was quite refreshing. I still wasn't crazy over it but it was the best shes done in a while. i still think she can win, so if shes gonna beat Angie,Candice, kree, shes gonna have to put some effort.

What can i say about Kree, i love her! haha kree is such a pro and she is so good she doesn't need to over sing or dance on stage. She just opens her mouth and t sounds good. I thought this was the best of the night even with the fact that she went first.
