American Idol 12: Chicago Auditions

Welcome to the second episode of auditions, this time with Haley Reinhart! ha. The talent of this episode was certainly a bit better than last time and I'm very happy to see alot more girl contestants than guys. as for the judges i think they work well with each other, Nicki is hilarious and just so outgoing but i think she gets jealous of all the praise mariah Carey gets haha.

Mackenzie Wasner
She has a good country voice but the thing is, she sounds like every other country singer out there, very cute girl though.

She has nothing on Jessica Sanchez, but her rendition of "the prayer" was very good. i loved her tone and her  control was impeccable. she could use a little more time but i like her.

Holy crap this guy can...yell haha! some might find it very unpleasant but i think he can do well in this show, we need a good rocker guy and he seems pretty legit.

Isabelle Parell
One of my personal favorites, i loved her tone it remind me of Zoey Deschanels singing. Perfect song choice but I'm scared she might be out sung in this competition.

His vocals were mediocre but that doesn't mean anything, hot guy, looks shy, not that great of an audition, Kris Allen anyone??

Curtis Finch Jr
I Knew i remembered him from somewhere,last season, i think he has a very good soulful voice, every year we need one. Jacob Lusk, Joshua Ledet, and now this guy.

Sad story about bulimia, and i think her voice is ok but i wasn't blown away.

I really liked her audition i like her voice and i think shes adorable. but she might get lost within all the Blondie country singers this season.

I think his voice was just ok, he definitely has some soul but perhaps he needs more training. potential Fodder?

Ok here's my problem with johnny, his last years audition was much better. I wonder if hes going to be a who cares contestant or is he going to make a colton dixon comeback.

Surprisingly my favorite audition from Chicago. shes corky and speaks her mind, and her original song was sooo good. i really do hope she makes it far, obviously she wont win but she is interesting.

let me just say that he has a good voice but it wasn't that great. with that being said i think its amazing that he can sing the way he can even though he has a stuttering problem. Very inspirational.

American Idol 12: New York Auditions

Welcome back to another season of American Idol!! For the 12th straight year we set out on a journey to find the next superstar who will win over the hearts of America. With the success of last years winner and season 11 being the most talented season of idol, i hope this season can be just as good or even better. I cant explain how excited i am and hopefully you guys will follow me throughout the season.

Lets get started with the new judges, Randy Jackson is well..Randy Jackson haha love him or hate him am glad there is a veteran on the judges panel.Keith Urban i really like this guy hes really nice, funny, and gives great feedback to the contestants. Mariah Carey has been doing ok but for some reason it seems like she isn't fully focused on the show, idk. Still like her though. And last but not least the most exciting judge to ever be on the panel, Nicki Minaj! yes i cant lie she does get a little annoying sometimes especially when she argues with mariah, but she is so much fun and she actually shows interest in the contestants.

Tenna Torres
Good voice and has really good vocal control, but her upper register kinda sounds too screechy.

Christina "Isabella"
Why is her name in quotations? is it her nickname? idk haha but this girl has a really big voice and honestly i was prepared not to like it but she sounded great but I'm not completely sold.

I think she has a unique sound but for me it was a little to all over the place and too loud.

love this kids attitude, hardworking, and determined. he sounded pretty good especially with the unexpected song choice.

Sarah restuccio
Her riding on an ATV seems a little too familiar..hmmm..haha but really i didn't like her first song at all i didn't think her voice was that great. When she rapped super bass it was kinda cool i don't think she would have made it if it wasn't for her rapping.

Get ready for the first sob story! haha i loved her voice and i love that she sang a Corrine bailey Rae song. I didn't like how she messed with the melody though.

X FACTOR RECAPS NO MORE...

As you all have noticed i stopped posting about the x factor, why? for a number of reasons. I have a job and i go to school, im a very busy person, sorta haha. But no seriously this season of the x factor is a trainwreck. Simon Cowell was so sure that the x factor would become the #1 singing competition on TV but sadly its the WORST! the new judges (Demi) is so damn annoying and she completely failed as a mentor. Another thing i hated was how the good acts were all eliminated for example Jennel, Willie, David, Jillian, Lyric Da Queen, all of these acts would have made for a better show. But instead we got horrible singers like Cece Frey And Paige Thomas. As for who will win its no doubt that Tate Stevens in going to win, how funny that the x factor was looking for the next young popstar but instead they'll get a middle aged country star.

This is why American Idol will always be the best singing competition to ever be on TV, See you guys In January! 

X FACTOR USA: TOP 12

Ok Yes i know I'm late, but hey i have a life too ya know! Ha that and the fact that the top 12 gave very mediocre performances on "Diva" night and the whole show is one big mess. Sorry to say that last season was much much more organized, i even miss Steve Jones and Nicole whats her face. You know somethings wrong when Britney is the best judge and mentor on the show, well other than Simon. Lets just hurry up and rank these performances from worst to best..

12. CeCe Frey

"All By Myself"

When i saw that CeCe was going last i thought maybe she dyed her hair brown again and was going to blow us away. But she totally butchered this song. Her pitch was waayy off and i just cant even stand to look at her anymore, it seems shes always crying and in desperation. Like i said before the CeCe we first knew is no longer with us.

11. Paige Thomas

"Last Dance"

When she first started her vocals were actually really good i was thinking to myself maybe paige has finally won me over, but then she turned it into a dance track the way she does with all her performances. It seems like the only words she could say were "last dance" repeated over and over. I hated it. Paige really needs to just have a intimate performance for once.

"We Will Rock You/ E.T"

Freddy Mercury is a diva?? Whatever Simon, another damn mashup?? Come on Simon. This group has been lead down the wrong path that's all. Yeah they can take a song and make it a hip hop cover but to do it every week? They had plenty of hip hop divas to pick from. This performance was a big mess and lyrics attitude didn't help one bit.

09. Arin Ray

"Crazy For You"

Aww he dedicated this to his little girlfriend, but jeez this was boring. No doubt hes vocals were alright not the best but he sounded good. I just don't think this was the right song for him to choose. And the fact that he isn't very popular, he really needs to be giving crazy good performances, this wont get him any votes. I think Britney will do her best with him though i actually think Britney's a great mentor.

08. Diamond White

"Halo"

On paper this was a perfect song for diamond to sing but for some reason it just didn't come together. She started off sounding extremely nervous and shaky, it got alot better towards the end but unfortunately it was too late for me to care. i think her momentum from being brought back is wearing off. She has no chance of doing what Melanie amaro did.

07. Fifth Harmony

"Hero"

This was a let down from what they did last week, they all sounded great individually but then the whole thing sounded like a mess i don't know what went wrong. Lauren sounded amazing i love her but Camila surprisingly sounded really off and not in tune. I hope next week they do something other than just sing a ballad.

06. Jennel Garcia

"Proud Mary"

No No No just NO! worst song for jennel to sing. #1 No one is ever going to have a moment with this song and #2 jennel is a rockstar. I think she did the best she could do with this song and she sounded good like always but it was nothing special. Jennel has great potential but demi has no idea what shes doing.

05. Emblem3

"No One"

If there were a list of songs to never be sung in a singing competition ever again, this would be top 5. This song has been done so many times, but luckily for emblem3, i don't think its ever been done by a group of three white guys. They actually did pretty good with it, yeah their vocals are no where near perfect but like i said these guys have a really cool sound to them and anything they sing they will make their own. i wonder if they can still win though, America doesn't vote for contestants with douchebag attitudes.

04. Tate Stevens

"From This Moment"

A tribute to his wife, and more family man edits, can you just give him the crown now? Haha really America just eats this stuff up. Tate gave a decent vocal but it wasn't anything great. If you want to see a performance like this just tune into American idol or the cma's haha. I still find his performances boring but i cant lie that the man is probably going to win the entire show.

03. Beatrice Miller

"Time After Time"

Cindy Lauper was a diva?!? Haha ok well I'm super happy about this performance, the Beatrice that i love came back. her tone was lovely and she didn't stretch her vocals, she kept it nice and soft. i don't understand how the judges praised her other performance which i thought were horrible but they hate this one? I loved it perhaps my second favorite of the night.

02. Vino Alan

"Lets Stay Together"

I love this song and i love Vinos voice, with that being said i loved this performance haha. He sounded great and he looks like hes having a really great time. yeah i think he was touching one too many fan hands but this was hands down more entertaining than anything else from the entire night.

01. Carly Rose 

"My Heart Will Go On"

Is it crazy that the best singer of the entire show is a 13 year old child? Its sad but true, this performance was  amazing, best of the night by a mile! her pitch was perfect the emotion was spot on and she hit her big notes with ease. Very impressive. Also the song choice was a bit cheesy but it didnt even matter she killed it.

X FACTOR USA: TOP 13 RESULTS

Ok I know am not the only one to say this but, The new hosts just make things so awkward especially khloe she looks like shes reading her lines like "HELLO...WELCOME ...TO...THE ...X...FAC...TOR".  Maybe they'll get better but i doubt it. Other than that the top 13 turned into a top 12 with one contestant getting the boot, also for the first time ever they announced the contestants rankings from Americas votes. Pretty cool idea but i hope they don't do it every week.

Not a surprise here, Jason is a lovable guy but his performances are pretty boring. He sings great but i can never connect with him. I hope LA is regretting the day he chose him over David Correy (Yes am still on that!)

Wow this was very unexpected, some of the best are just in the middle, and people like Vino are in the top 3, crazy. As for Tate I guess who ever watches American idol also watches The Xfactor haha. 

X FACTOR USA: TOP 13

Last Night the top 12...no.. top 13! sang songs from the movies which meant they can pick pretty much whatever they want haha. But this was a huge improvement from last week, most of the contestants sounded vocally good and some even made me change my mind about them.

As for the judges/mentors...Britney is getting better as a mentor but as a judge she pretty much says the same thing over and over. Demi on the other hand is a horrible mentor but shes better judge than Britney.

On to the performances ranked from worst to best

13. CeCe Frey
"Eye Of The Tiger"
Who's the blond chick on stage? Haha seriously i don't even recognize CeCe anymore, i loved her back at the judges home and at boot camp but Demi just ruined her. And not only is she a complete stranger but her vocals on this perfomance were horrendous, she looked awkward and she didn't bring any energy. I'm so done with CeCe.

12. Beatrice Miller
"Iris"
I loved Beatrice and i still think shes adorable and she has a really nice tone, but this was just painful to watch. Yeah she had confidence on stage but her vocals were bad. It sounded as if she was just talking and screaming the whole song. Beatrice is really starting to let me down =[

"I Believe I Can Fly"
This tired out thing? #1 Very bad song choice #2 What the hell is he wearing #3 It was loungey. Of course he has a great voice but like i said before he isn't going to last very long in this competition. Its a shame they chose him over David Correy.

"When A Man Loves A Woman"
He might have earned some points with his story about supporting the troops so that's good for him. As for song choice, its was a good song choice since Vino is a soul singer and not a rock singer. but all i was thinking about was how Joshua Ledet killed this song on American idol, so i wasn't jumping up and down about vinos performance. His vocals were good though.

"I Have Nothing"
Yay Diamonds back! haha I'm glad shes back and her performance was vocally great in my opinion, even though it wasn't perfect since its a really hard Whitney song. But i already heard her sing this before in bootcamp, so i was a little upset that they'd give her this song again instead of something new.

"Dead Or Alive"
I think this is Tates best performance so far. i had to watch it back couple of times because honestly sometimes when tate performs i find myself bored. but he was confident and he brought the right attitude to the song and his vocals were pretty good.

"Take My Breathe Away"
I'm going to hate myself for saying this but this was pretty good haha! The way she came down from the ceiling and the guy caressing her were all a bit too much but other than that her vocals were the best Ive heard from her. i think shes improving and she is becoming someone who can be a real pop star.

"My Girl/California Girl Mash up"
The beginning was a little rough i thought this was going to be a disaster but then they changed up the song and everything was ok haha. I love watching these dudes perform because everything they sing they make their own and they bring so much energy to the stage. It wasn't as good as last week but it was good enough to keep them safe.

"American Boy"
Just like Paige, i hate to say it but this was good! he is really improving even though he still isnt the best singer. In this performance I liked his vocals at times but sometimes he sounds a little weak especially when he was moving around too much on stage. But hey this kid has potential if he keeps it up

04. Jennel Garcia
"I Love Rock N Roll"
Jennel sounded amazing like always and i love the way she sung her melodies but Simon is 100% right. I hate her new look that Demi gave her, I'm not buying the whole rockstar thing. I mean yeah she is a rockstar but i prefer the cute highlighted hair jennel. when shes on stage wearing all black she just looks a little uncomfortable.

"It Will Rain"
So much better than last week, Carly's slowed down version of this song was incredible. I loved everything about this performance she even cried a little at the end...idk if it was genuine though haha, i think if she keeps this up she is definitely a shoe in for top 5.

"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocius"
How can they say that word so fast so many times! Haha this what a very interesting song choice and they made it work. From the costumes to the raps it was pure entertainment, they didn't even change up the original lyrics, pretty awesome. Its really hard not to like this trio.

"A Thousand Years"
Formerly known as 1432 formerly known as Lylas Haha. I actually don't mind the new name and i don't mind this group at all. Last week i said that they would never work as a group..i was wrong they sounded freaking amazing. Camila is the lead singer now i guess but my personal favorites were Lauren and Dinah. This group is going to do very very well if they keep singing like this.
