10.Curtis Finch Jr

I Believe 

Pretty expected song choice from Curtis, and his vocal? it was pretty dang predictable. He didn't hit all the notes he was going for and he usually goes for the same high notes every performance. To me watching this was like watching a cartoon i mean Curtis just does some ridiculous things , not in a good way.

Breakaway

Most people hated it, it was bad obviously because lets face it, Lazaro isn't such a great singer. But i actually thought it was better than most of the stuff he has done throughout the competition so far. poor Lazaro will keep getting the sympathy votes and hell just stick around and outlast a favorite just watch.

This is why i hate this theme, the contestants are taking songs that other idols had moments with already. Janelle maybe this was a good song on paper but she really had to deliver. unfortunately she didn't. it lacked the energy that scotty brought to the song when he performed it. she just didn't sound good at all i hated it.

Again he picks songs that are perfect for him but somehow he just never wows me. He actually sounded alright in this one but i found myself wishing it was over. I don't know i just cant get excited about Paul's performances.

Flying Without Wings

Don't get me wrong, burnell is the best guy in the competition, his voice is unique . But this was a horrendous song choice. My least favorite coronation song, theres no way burnell could make this song any more like able. Another thing that bothers me is that i feel like burnell is giving the same type of performance week after week, he needs to do something uptempo or atleast move around!

yes i know this one was a bit boring but i actually liked the song for Devin, he has a little country in him. His vocal was perfect as always and i just really want Devin to do well. He probably wont make it far if he keeps giving these types of performances though, America doesn't like forgettable performances.

A Moment Like This

First of all, you never ever touch this song, ever! This i Kelly's winning anthem, the song that started it all. Amber got the pimp spot and yes she sounded fantastic and gave her own rendition of the song. It was a nice moment, but come on jimmy, next time you tell her no when she picks a song like this!

Crying

If Carrie Underwood couldn't have a moment with this song, Kree probably cant either, but man did she sound freakin good. i totally agree with nicki and the whole waffle & syrup nonsense haha this performance was mesmerizing. She pretty much made love to the lyrics of this song and that's what i love about kree she takes any song and makes love too it haha.

I Surrender

Not gunna lie, for a girl who has presented herself as the female Colton Dixon, i was surprised she sang this really big song, i was wondering if she could pull it off, and she did!. Angies voice is so big and powerful she nailed this song. she does seem a little theatrical but whatever haha

Candice freakin Glover! Jordin Sparks had her moment, Haley Reinhart had her moment, now Candice had her moment with this song and she destroyed it, it was by far the best of the night and one of the best performances all season. She is just so good at whats she does, right now she is the top contender no doubt.

American Idol 12: Top 10 Boys

This group of boys this year is filled with pretty much the same type of singer. They really want a girl to win so am guessing they made sure to not put through any WGWG, and also alot of the guys this season seem a Little, too nice haha. But really i cant see any of these guys winning this year but who knows.

What the hell was this? and what the hell was he wearing? Charlie should not have made it this far because he just cant sing, he started off pretty nice but when he starts screaming its like hearing a child yell at the supermarket. I'm sorry i just didn't get it.

What a disappointment, i had high hopes for Vincent but he came out with a very cheesy song choice. he sounded good but it was just underwhelming.

Oh man,cheesiest overdone song you can ever pick. For that reason alone he should get eliminated, seriously. The judges loved  it, i hated it. His vocals weren't off, and he just did way too much with it like always.

Cortez gave a very karaoke performance with this one, not only was the song choice not for him, he didn't sound all that good either. if you want to seem current, don't sing this overplayed Bruno mars song! Cortez has a nice voice but it seems like he doesn't know what to do with it.

This was no doubt the Best that we have seen from Lazaro, but that isn't saying much. This is a tired old song that shouldn't be performed on these shows anymore but his rendition wasn't bad at all and he stayed on pitch for most of the song. i still don't get Lazaro though, what kind of artist does he want to be?

Paul says he want to be the male version of Taylor swift, hm OK Paul haha. On paper this is a great song choice for Paul and he did sing it well i think his tone really fits the song well but i just cant get past the way he looks when hes performing, they call it theatrics, i call it trying to hard.

Nick wins the song choice award because i love this song haha. And i think he did well with it, sure the arrangement with the piano was a little too slow but overall it was the Nick that i liked. His vocals weren't perfect and his voice cracked a little, but it was still a good performance.

Big improvement over last weeks train wreck, he picked the perfect song and he sounded very current. the problem is that he went first and yes the song didn't really go anywhere but compared to some of the other guys, Elijah really deserves to stay.

man Devin has such a big beautiful voice and his tone is so clear. Even though he went into his Spanish thing again i didn't mind it at all, not because i understood him haha, but because he sang great. I think Devin is one of the stronger of the guys but he needs to show more than just the ballads.

He sang his audition song and i cant blame him, he did something that he knew he could nail and that would get him into the top 10. With that being said i think burnell really had a little moment with this performance, the best Ive heard him. He sings with real emotion and he has these little things he does with his voice that makes a performance his, I think hes well on his way.

American Idol 12: Top 10 Girls

This years group of girls is definitely stronger than the boys but they aren't as great as they make us believe they are. theres almost no diversity, No Haley Reinharts, Skylar Laines, Allison Irahettas. Just girls with big voices this year,. But i cant complain because some of these girls are very very talented. Even though I wish some girls like (Juliana Chahayed) were still here.

As for the judges, Nicki is still hilarious and i think shes a great judge, i just think she can get a bit annoying sometimes, Keith has great input but is too quick to get on his feet, Mariah Carey, poor mariah, she tries hard to be a good judge but just says a bunch of nonsense. An randy is randy and is considered the voice of reason at times.

Oh lord why is she still here! She actually got serious for this performance and the craziness that everyone loved was all gone. She sounded just awful like always and he judges finally said something about it.

Another girl that i thought shouldn't have made it this far, but she did look better than she did last time. But still her tone is unbearable, i just cant listen to her she sounds like a chipmunk. yes she sang good but it did nothing for me.

Boring song, Janelle really doesn't know how to pick her songs, last week was bad, this was a little better but still not good. Janelle was supposed to be a front runner, and she does give me the Scotty Mccreery, Tate Stevens vibe, no matter how boring she is America will vote for her. But she has to at least step up her game.

I think Adriana is very pretty and she sounded very nice, she has potential but i just don't think shes ready right now. This song was boring and it looked very pageanty for my liking. Maybe next year,

Aubrey is a beautiful girl, and can be on the radio today. But her voice just isn't big enough for this years competition. She sounded very nice but she didn't exactly take it anywhere so she could be in trouble.

This was a pretty risky song choice because is was the opposite of what she did last week, but i really liked it. She sounded very good and restrained and she brougtht attitude to the performance. I think this is a song that should have been performed later on in the competition, not this early to Be taking risks.

I didn't know the song but i didn't even care because Kree kills it every time. She has this big voice and her vocals are just amazing, she has a country sound but not too country. She is definitely one of the stronger girls this season haha.

I was thinking not another Whitney song! But she slayed it! Her tone is so rich and yes she does alot of vocal acrobats that sometimes arent necessary but i think she has to because i don't think she can hit the big high notes.

The female version of Colton Dixon!? Yes haha. I really do like this song so i was excited to hear she was going to be singing it, and i think she did a great job. it was reminiscent of her Hollywood performance but nevertheless i think she was captivating. this season is hers to lose and i for one hopes she keeps it up.

One of my favorite song, and i never heard a girl sing it before so i really liked it. Her voice is just so unreal, everything she does with her voice is just impeccable. And when she hits those big notes, its flawless. The only thing i didn't like is how she messed with the melody just a little but whatever haha.

I think my question here is, do these judges really think hes that great of a singer? Lazaro is a sweet kid but he only got this far because oh his back story. Tonight was the worst Ive heard from him, the song was boring, i couldn't understand a word he said, and he was off pitch throughout the whole song. But hes going to go through because, he just is.

I agree with the judges, i think he would have at least had a a better performance if he brought out a guitar, but it still wouldn't mask the fact that he just isn't a very good singer. This performance was just very forgettable, and the way he begged afterwards, good riddance.

Horrible song choice, the only time to sing an Elvis song, is on Elvis week, seriously. Mathenee does have very great vocal control but this performance was just silly. Hes a choreographer? Didn't seem like it at all.

Nick was a standout in Hollywood with his performance of Grace Potters "Stars". but this week Nick was a big let down, he picked a song that almost no one really knows and it was actually pretty boring. He did sound nice though he has a very pretty voice. He needs to step it up/

Perfect song choice for him, Ive always thought he sounded a bit like john legend so I'm glad about that. Burnell is obviously one of the favorites in the boys group and i can see why, hes marketable and he can really  sing. My only problem was that i was waiting for the big note but he never had one, maybe he cant hit them?

I didn't even know what to expect from Bryant since this is the first time we've seen him, and i was pleasantly surprised he has a beautiful tone to his voice. this kid is only here because of his big personality, when it comes down to this performance it was just terrible. the beginning was actually quite nice but after that it just sounds like he was in pain literally. How he made it through is beyond me.

A Keith Urban song, what a kiss ass haha, i really liked jimmy in his audition and in Hollywood week but this was such a let down. He sang well but the song just didnt go anywhere i was dam near half a sleep. Also he looked like he'd been tanning all day, weird look.

Its no secret that Curtis has one of the best, over the top voices this year, and his rendition of superstar was technically great. But man i cant stand Curtis and his smug, arrogance. And America doesn't like that either so theres no chance of him winning. Also i feel like his performance was way too practiced, he knows what he is going to do, how he is going to do it, and when he is going to do it.

Beautiful girl, and she did good in hollywood week. But wow this was the worst performance Ive heard all year. First of all why did she choose a song that doesn't fit her voice and style at all, second of all her everything was just way off. I felt pretty bad for her.

I honestly didn't care much for kree but after this performance i fell in love with her, not only did she school the rest of the contestants but she did it without needing to dress up and put tons of make up on which i love about her. She sings with such conviction and it just pulls you in, she can be a possible frontrunner in this competition.
